Hydrolates

Hydrolates or aromatic waters are obtained by distillation of officinal plants picked fresh in order to preserve all their beneficial properties.

During plant’s distillation are obtained two substances: hydrolat and essential oil. Hydrolat is the aqueous phase picked at the exit of the still settling. Flavored water that has stored minimum amount of essential oil itself, and its water-soluble molecules giving origin to a wildcard product with multiple properties.

Hydrolat can act as a tonic, also it’s excellent as a simple gesture of facial cleansing. Lavender hydrolat for oily skin, Orange flowers hydrolat for dried skin or to relax the face, Rose hydrolat to light.

They can be placed in face masks, used as lotions for oily or dried hair depending of the plant, after sun tonics to refresh and soothe the whole body skin.
